From: Passportmagazine.com – In March 2010, young adults from around the country and around the world will embark on the fourth annual Equality Ride, a youth bus tour visiting religious colleges and universities across the United States to challenge on-campus discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students. Guided by the principles of nonviolence, Equality Riders will engage in critical dialogue, direct action, and in some cases civil disobedience, to press for much-needed changes for LGBTQ students.
In the style of the Civil Rights Movement’s ‘Freedom Rides’ of the 1960s, you to can join in on the fight for GLBT equality. To fill out an application visit Equality Ride’s official website.

This group is so wonderful. I am a 23 year old gay man who only recently came out in the past couple years. A consequences to that was removal from my church as being a assembly of God member for the past 11 years and my family doesn’t want to have to talk to me unless absolutely necessary. I have been quite moved by watching on you tube all the different places that you visited. I think it made me cry so much because I should have been allowed to attend those Christian colleges. the only reason I never even admitted myself is due to the fact that I would not lie on the applications. I knew that I could never live in the closet for 4 more years. Instead I self enrolled myself into a teen challenge program (ex-gay) to “cure” myself. I can not express the damage that did to my mind and my self worth. thank God now I am living with a family that truly loves and accepts me for who I am. Last year I ended up in the hospital due to depression and anxiety over loosing my family and church. God has given me a new family and a new church that both except me for being gay. Continue to do the work of the Lord and spread His message of love to these campuses.
Your gay brother in Christ, Christopher.
